One of Arches National Park Most Photographed Arch CollapsesOver the weekend, Wall Arch, one of largest and most photographed arches in Arches National Park collapsed. Wall Arch, first named in 1948, was located along the popular Devils Garden Trail and stood 71 feet tall and 33.5 feet wide, making it the 12th largest known arch inside the park. The Arch was formed by entrada sandstone that was worn down over time to form its arch. Ultimately, it was this same deterioration, combined with gravity, that forced the collapse.
