Canon preparing big EOS-7D firmware update
Canon has announced a significant firmware upgrade for their EOS-7D digital SLR. This free update, available in August, will improve the following:
- Increases buffer size, allowing for 25 RAW images in a single burst, instead of 15
- User can now set upper ISO limit when shooting with Auto ISO control
- New in-camera RAW editor in playback mode
- New manual audio adjustment
- File names can now be customized
- Quick Control menu now available in playback mode
- Faster scrolling when using playback zoom feature
- New rating and resizing features in playback mode
- Adds support for the Canon GP-E2 GPS receiver
