Nikon D3 and Sony Alpha DSLR-A900 Review by The Online Photographer

Review (Summary): "... There are a lot of ways in which the D3 is superior to the A900: it's clearly quieter, and the mirror blackout is much shorter, and the camera as a whole is faster, crisper, more responsive (although the A900 is by no means bad). It's also bigger and heavier, and I don't like the user interface as much. Of course, those are things you get used to. ..

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G1 Review by Digital Outback Photo

Review Diary (Summary): "... Panasonic and Olympus realized the need and market for a new standard. Because they wanted to keep the sensor size (smaller than APS-C but much larger than in P&S cameras) and allow for interchangeable lenses. The Micro FourThirds standard was born. Essentially keeping the sensor size of the FourThirds system and removing the need for a mirror box. ...

Casio EXILIM EX-FH20 Review by Photography Blog

Review (Summary): "... Dig beneath the surface and you'll quickly find the real selling-point of the EX-FH20 - its incredible continuous shooting rate of up to 40fps for still images and 1000fps for video. Admittedly there's a drop in quality (to 7 megapixel stills and 224×56 pixel movies respectively), but the Casio EX-FH20 is easily the second fastest compact camera on the market, beaten only by it's big brother, the EX-F1, which is a lot more expensive and "only" offers 6 megapixels. ...

Nikon D700 Digital SLR Review by DCResource

Review (Summary): "The D700 ($2999, body only) is Nikon's midrange, full-frame digital SLR. It takes everything that's great about the $4500 D3, and puts it into a midsize body that's not much larger than the D300. The D700's main competitors include the new Canon EOS-5D Mark II and the Sony Alpha DSLR-A900, both of which cost about the same. .

Samsung TL34HD Digital Camera Review by DigitalTrends

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G1 Review by Imaging-Resource

Review (Summary): "The new non-SLR digital camera uses an interchangeable lens design that fulfills the size promise of Micro Four Thirds, besting the current world's smallest digital SLR, and almost matching it for weight as well. In this compact body, the Panasonic G1 fits in a 12.1 megapixel image sensor, 60 frames-per-second electronic viewfinder with 800x600 gapless pixel resolution, a 3.0-inch tilt/swivel LCD display, and three frames-per-second shooting. ...

Pentax smc FA 50mm F1.4 Lens Review by DPReview

Review (Summary): "The 50mm F1.4 features a traditional design of 7 elements in 6 groups, with all of the lens surfaces spherical in profile. In this regard it's very similar to the Canon EF 50mm F1.4 USM and Nikon AF-Nikkor 50mm F1.4D which we've reviewed recently, and therefore looks somewhat dated when compared to the all-new, aspheric-element Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM. ...

Panasonic 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH LUMIX G VARIO Lens Review by SLRGear

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G1 Review by Digital Camera Info

Review (Summary): "Panasonic is first out of the gate with a product based on the Micro Four Thirds format, the intriguing Lumix G1. This 12-megapixel camera just started shipping, priced at $800 with a 14-45mm lens (equivalent to 28-90mm on a 35mm camera). It became clear a few months ago, when we shot with a pre-production G1 at the Photokina trade show, that Panasonic had indeed cleared the most important hurdle to making Micro Four Thirds work: the auto focus system is plenty fast enough for most shooting situations. ...
